Jenny Yang is a Taiwanese-American comedian, writer, and actor. She portrayed the supporting character, Xing, in the Netflix original series, The Brothers Sun.
General Overview[]
Jenny was born in Taiwan, and raised in the South Bay, currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. Jenny graduated in political science at Swarthmore College, and was a PPIA Fellow for a Master's in urban planning at University of California, Los Angeles.[1]When it came to Jenny's audition, it said that “when Jenny came in the room, she did something different than every other person who auditioned, and I just responded to it immediately,” he said. “I was like, ‘This is not who you would initially think [of] for this role, but that’s why it works so great.’ And then she made it her own and she colored up the whole thing, brought in her comedy, her dryness”.[2]
As a television writer, Jenny had written for season 1 of Max's Gordita Chronicles, as well as the final two seasons of Fox's Last Man Standing and E!’s late-night talk show Busy Tonight with Busy Philipps.
